[17:06:31] <AndyTheAbsurd> the way you have phrased your question implies that "digital people" cannot also be "sellable product"

[17:19:46] <AndyTheAbsurd> I've decided that freeside is either at least temporarily insane or insufficiently familiar with English language to get his/her point across.

[18:27:47] <freeside> there MUST be a way to put it together AFTER
[18:28:15] <freeside> not just pills
[18:29:02] <freeside> "put this here" and "put this here" and maybe give pills to kill the brain .. but the body can heal back together"
[18:29:32] <freeside> anyways ...
[18:29:35] <freeside> sir
[18:30:13] <janrinok> the body can only recover if there is a circulating blood system that works. There is a point where connecting that system together again is simply impossible
[18:30:23] <freeside> i think humans should thrieve to look for the accident and people that make these accidensts possible and make the people who make minced meat into minced meat : )))
[18:31:31] <freeside> janrinok: i understand .. obviously we dont encounter mineced meat making system in nature .. only people make minced meat
[18:32:31] <weeds> janrinok: next step sainthood
[18:32:51] <janrinok> I won't hold my breath while waiting, weeds
[18:33:59] <weeds> janrinok: clearly you have the patients
[18:34:24] <freeside> also ... the if the human heart is intact .. you dont need blood vessels .. it is perfectly okay (for a time) to have the heart circulate all nutritions "overall" as in "a bathtube" if you can keepp it from patheogens, which i fermablt believe are tachyonly teleported from soem source, or the center of the universe of life-source, or suemthing. shielding
[18:35:11] <janrinok> I think it might be time for you meds, freeside, or I am missing something in this conversation
[18:35:16] <janrinok> your*
[18:35:25] <freeside> no ...
[18:35:37] <freeside> the question is survival
[18:35:39] <janrinok> OK
[18:36:12] <janrinok> survival of what? your heart? a single cell?
[18:36:40] <freeside> gives life and takes life... we dont understant because we are (alive). the menbrane of "life giving" is a source we cannot fully control ourselfs
[18:37:21] <janrinok> I thought so, we both need meds - I'm going to go and take mine now....
[18:37:50] <freeside> janrinok: good for you but dont give up so quickly. it can be tomorrow or after, yes? meds?
[18:38:16] <weeds> janrinok: there goes the canonization
[18:38:24] <janrinok> freeside, you carry on without me, I could be a while
[18:38:46] <janrinok> weeds, it wasn't really my scene anyway
[18:38:58] <freeside> what i amn saying is that maybe the power of life comes from a source and the power of the source is that it makes you believe that you you are special and can die.
[18:39:21] * janrinok nom nom nom lovely meds nom
[18:39:32] <freeside> lol
[18:39:45] <weeds> hey, freeside, we have a name for that... non-sense.
[18:39:50] <freeside> horrible .. you cannot die
[18:40:17] * janrinok has just wasted several minutes talking to a bot!
[18:42:21] <mechanicjay> janrinok: Don't worry, I did that earlier too -- I think I'm done engaging the bot for now.
[18:44:01] <freeside> no .. what i am syaing is that we as humans can perceive so things ... we are limited because we dont know everything at birth . we learn. we exist in an environment that that keeps (or can) us alive. we are in boot-camp. but we dont know everything .. yet. the grown ups with their science think they have the future *rump-pomp* figured out because we have electricity. but it's a big 'ol party until a
[18:44:07] <freeside> sad guy or gal takes it upon themselfds to figure that the higgs-field is accesible to everyone everyday and that we can create matter in tiny bits that no human will know but will exit into the future for better or worse
[18:44:13] <freeside> \wa-haha thats too mcuh typing
[18:45:36] <freeside> so some call it god
[18:45:56] <freeside> science call it the god particle.
[18:46:56] <weeds> I call it bananas
[18:47:40] <freeside> reality is? that magnetism and electricity (fur and comb(thank god girls in black hair)) existed way beyond particle accelerators. the proof might have used lots of MeVolts errr gigavolts (honesty? or break the spell)) but it was all around all the time.
[18:48:54] <freeside> oh well ... thanks for having me?
[18:49:08] <freeside> i have to sign of? maybe. beers out
[18:49:48] <freeside> ormally "freeside" is is auto-bad on IRC. hahaha
[18:49:55] <freeside> *ban
[18:50:27] <weeds> TheMightyBuzzard: can you fix that?
[18:50:29] <freeside> but maybe it is like wine from a vintage that has no more bottles left
[18:50:41] <freeside> so it is meaning less
[18:53:55] <freeside> it seems chat is still alive and kicking and not medivial burnet on the stake?
[18:54:23] <freeside> at least the ones that run the same version of linux as the NSA .. hahahha
[18:54:34] <freeside> take care now and be well
[18:54:48] * freeside sings off (for a while)
[18:54:53] -!- freeside has quit [Quit: leaving]
[19:00:16] <TheMightyBuzzard> fix what now?
[19:12:35] <janrinok> wtf was that?
[19:13:21] <mechanicjay> janrinok: special, very very special.
[19:13:35] <janrinok> lol
[19:14:08] <janrinok> I'm still not sure what I have just experienced
[19:14:24] <boru> Runaway Markov chain.
[19:15:17] <janrinok> at least it isn't a user name on the site
[19:17:07] <weeds> TheMightyBuzzard: ban the bot?

[22:02:06] <AndyTheAbsurd> hmmm...which Linux distribution to put on the new laptop?
[22:02:44] <muxer> gentoo
[22:02:57] <muxer> just kidding, don't do that. i hate gentoo
[22:03:27] <mechanicjay> gentoo has been good to me the last year or so.
[22:03:36] <mechanicjay> So has openSuse
[22:03:46] <AndyTheAbsurd> hah!....that would actually be an interesting choice. It's got 32GB of RAM and a 2.7GHz processor, so the most painful part of "compile everything for yourself!" would probably be downloading all the sources.
[22:05:56] <mechanicjay> AndyTheAbsurd: My quad-core Xeon workstation at work, yeah, the only things that suck to update are Firefox, Thunderbird and OpenOffice. I pretty much gave up on my core2 laptop, just wasn't worth the time. There are definitely times when this beast downloads, compiles and installs a package while zypper is cranking away trying to install an rpm on the old laptop.
[22:07:52] <mechanicjay> But it depends on the use case. I tend to consume my media on my laptop, and openSuse is just less fiddly about video and whatnot.
[22:10:09] <TheMightyBuzzard> AndyTheAbsurd, the most painful part would be getting your kernel configured to a useful state and setting up USE flags
[22:29:37] <xhedit> Freebsd?
[22:30:37] <AndyTheAbsurd> ...probably not at this point.
[22:30:44] <AndyTheAbsurd> My favorite browser doesn't run there yet.
